Do you undertake forensic vehicle inspections?
Nick - Driven Forensics • 15 January 2024

We inspect pedal cycles, cars, motorcycles, large goods vehicles and buses/coaches and trailers.

We regularly undertake forensic vehicle inspections. In any investigation, it is important to know the facts and understanding the condition of a vehicle and how any defects may contribute to a collision is essential. Nick has been inspecting vehicles for approximately thirteen years, initially as an operational police officer inspecting vehicles at the roadside and laterly as a forensic vehicle examiner.

Nick holds a City and Guilds diploma in light vehicle maintenance and repair, City and Guilds awards in the maintenance and diagnosis of electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as specialist qualifications covering the specific inspection techniques for motorcycles, cars and heavy vehicles. He is a trained Bosch CDR technician and analyst, capable of downloading and analysing crash data.

He has also undertaken the Michelin Police Tyre Technical course as well as the forensic investigation of light bulbs training with Sheffield Hallam University.
