Could an iPhone be your best silent witness to what happened in a crash?

I am incredibly excited to hear Aart Spek speak on the 29th May. He is taking part in a webinar looking at whether an iPhone in a crashed vehicle could well be the silent witness you need. He will be looking at what information or data might be recorded, how it can be accessed, but probably more importantly, is how to assess its plausability and it's accuracy.
