Hyundai event data recorder (EDR) downloads

Modern vehicles are fitted with on-board event data recorders (EDR) which are capable of providing investigators about a vehicles movements and actions in the moments before a collision. By far the most common tool used by the Police, law enforcement and other investigators is the Bosch CDR (collision data retrieval) tool.

The Bosch tool however is not universal and not all vehicles are compatiable with the Bosch tool. Although the list is always being updated, at the time of writing Bosch CDR tool is not compatiable with Hyundai vehicles. Driven Forensics are unique in the industry in that we now have the capability to access the EDR data stored on Hyundai vehicles.

The vehicle pictured in these images, are a Hyundai Tucson which we managed to download data from.

In addition to Hyundai, Bosch CDR is not compatiable with Jaguar, Land Rover, Telsa and Kia to name a few.
